Is there any way we can do our own back up once we have completed work?

auto scheduling

It would be wonderful to have an option that would auto generate a schedule of people for their selected roles based upon utilization. This would improve the efficiency of scheduling and ensure everyone is being used regularly.

Incorrect Time

the last login and time when e-mail is created are all not correct. for my time zone (-8 pacific) it was 1 hour off. even when I change the profile property to (-7) it does not seem to make a difference. is it auto adjust for daylight savings?

I have now made it so administrators can change your timezone from the settings/church menu.

I am using Service Builder in New Zealand. Down here we write our dates using DD-MM-YYYY format. I would be great to have an option to change the date settings display format.

Response from the site administrator
jasonsilver, 12.07.2011
Thanks for the idea. If you've seen any dates I've missed, please let me know. I think all dates in ServiceBuilder should now be affected.

You change the date format under "Settings / Options".

Allow the service template to include roles outside of the service. It is repetitious to add roles outside the service each week. It would be great if you could include those as part of the service template.

roles

could there be a notes area for descriptions of the roles and groups? this would be helpful if everyone could see the description so those new in a role know what they are responsible for and who they "report" to.

When I'm building a service order under "schedule", when I schedule a group, I'd like to have them group scheduled at that time like individuals are, without having to go to a separate page to schedule the members of the group.

If I select a person from the drop down list when scheduling, that person becomes an active link, but when I schedule the worship team (listed as a group on the drop down list under "select person") the individuals in that group are not scheduled;...

Email an individual the roles they would fulfill for a certain amount of time

I have now added the ability to add the schedule in each email that you send out, but including the [schedule] tag in the message.

Up to 10 records will be included in the message, sorted by date, then role as follows:

[schedule] is replaced with:

-- YOUR SCHEDULE --
2012-07-28: Pianist
2012-07-28: Worship Leader
--------------------------------

Hopefully that will serve your needs. :)

At our church, we need to be able to see the hymns and songs we use at each service, rather than all of the hymns we use at all services. We have different communities at each service, so even if we sang the same hymn four times this week, it was rea

Add a drop-down to the left of the dropdown that selects the last 4/5/6 weeks, allowing us to select hymns from All Services, (and then a list of the services that we use at our church).

On the hymnals/songbook area, it would be nice to see some of the popular songbooks listed

The Vineyard and Hosanna Integrity series for example... I'm sure they would be happy to assist you with that, as it supports their publishing companies.

OK, I've implemented a version of this, but I need to get some answers before I say it's completed.

First, I assume that sometimes people can fill two roles on the SAME service, right-- you just want to prevent people from filling two roles on different services on the same date?

Please clarify.

Would be nice to have an option to sort "Our Selection" list by various criteria, or at least to add a sort by song name.

Currently the "out selections" list displays the generic list items (from the global pool) in alpha order, followed by new stuff added by me. Can the screen be changed so the list is merged better and sorted.

My dropbox link is broken - how do i reset it?

Filter "Select from Hymnal" Screen

On the worship planner,, under "Select From Hymnal", include a drop down menu of "not used in last 1 week, 2 weeks, etc." as well as view all.
Response from the site administrator
jasonsilver, 04.01.2012
I've implemented this, and used 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 weeks.

If you need something more specific, you can manually modify the URL:

http://servicebuilder.net/#!/planWorship/search/hymnal/4

The above URI shows hymns not used in 4 weeks.

If you have a thought as to the numbers of weeks I have used I could be easily persuaded to change it, to say, 1,2,3,4,5,6 or some other arrangement.

Thanks for the great idea!

Thanks Katie!

I've added this feature-- there is now an announcements section on the home page. Anyone who logs into your ServiceBuilder account can leave announcements right now, and their name is added at the end so you know who is posting them.

We can change this if it causes problems, so that only admins can add them.

It will show the last 10 announcements, below the upcoming services dashboard.

I can also use this section for leaving my own announcements.
